The landscapes in Iceland were definitely going to be the real stars, and with every scenery like a postcard, I wanted my outfits to be ready for their moment too! I needed outfits that could survive long walks, cool breezes, and spontaneous stops along the way, while still feeling good enough for photos. That meant plenty of layers, dependable sneakers, and neutral pieces that made matching ridiculously easy.

One of my favorite casual looks was THE NORTH FACE sweatshirt with black leggings, white sneakers, and a light blue jacket tied around my waist. I love having an extra layer within reach when I’m out exploring because Iceland’s weather can shift so quickly. The white sneakers also keep the darker base and I’d easily wear this blend for walking around town, grabbing coffee, or capturing new tourist spots.

When I knew I’d be spending more time outdoors, I reached for pieces that were truly functional. This black COLUMBIA rain jacket with jeans and hiking shoes was such an easy mixture for a day around the waterfalls and rocky trails. I like that the jeans keep the outfit appealing and familiar, while the hiking shoes make it much more suited for uneven ground. A knit beanie and cross-body bag finish it off without adding excessive fuss.

I discovered myself wearing a lot of COLORFULKOALA leggings on this trip, especially with weatherproof layers. The black jacket and leggings in this city look made getting dressed incredibly simple, while the brown jacket and hiking shoes gave comfortable formula a slightly different vibe. If I’m going to be walking for hours, I love when I can put together an outfit that doesn’t require much thought but still looks refined.

I always make a room in my suitcase for an outfit that feels like an embrace, and this one is right up my alley. The gray sweatshirt and black leggings keep things comfortable, while the white SOREL sneakers give it that clean, casual finish I love. I’d throw on the blue beanie for warmth and color, especially on a chilly morning. These are the kinds of combinations I’m always happy to have packed because I can wear them for lunch or an afternoon wandering around town.

Looking back at these Iceland outfits, I think the biggest lesson for me was that travel style doesn’t have to mean choosing between comfort and looking put together. A good jacket, a few cozy tops, jeans or leggings, and shoes that can handle plenty of walking gave me a wardrobe of ideas.
