Transitioning your wardrobe from one season to another can be quite tricky. But the easiest styling tip during these in-between seasons is learning how to layer your pieces. So I created five laidback outfits with light layers that are all on-trend and super comfortable.
Outfit 1: Obsessed with pairing this brown mock neck sweater with black leggings, a brown suede long-sleeve jacket, a scarf, and a tan hobo bag. Adding on these Sam Edelman sneakers and a Los Angeles Dodgers cap to complement the rest of the pieces.
Outfit 2: If you’re into darker tones, go for this monochrome styling by wearing a gray sweater, the same black leggings, and layer on a faux leather coat and a cashmere plaid scarf. Complete the look with a weekender bag and Sam Edelman sneakers.
Outfit 3: For more of a clean girl look, opt for the white sweater paired with the same black leggings, a long beige coat and scarf for added warmth. Finished the look with a beige baseball cap that’s perfect for not-so-good hair days and some lace-up sneakers.
Outfit 4: This next one is styled similarly to the first look with the same brown sweater, neutral long coat, and nude weekender bag. But this one incorporates more texture and some contrast by pairing it with dark brown Adidas sneakers and a dark brown cap.
Outfit 5: Finally, we have a styling that works well for a city girl vibe. Opt for a light grey coat layered effortlessly over a black chunky knit sweater and black leggings. Add on the Adidas Court VL sneakers, a plain black cap, and a black leather tote to elevate the ensemble.
If you’re unsure with how to layer your clothing, always start small! You can switch out the sweater with a different top or opt for a different color outerwear. The great thing about figuring out your own style is the process of getting there. So don’t be afraid to try something new!
